Silence the Violence

This is a social awareness poster informing the public on the effects media violence has on children. The small print says:

The American Academy of Pediatrics recognizes exposure to violence in media, including television, commercial or self-recorded video, movies, video games, print, radio, recorded music, computer, and the Internet,  as a significant risk to the health of children and adolescents. American children between 2 and 18 years of age spend an average of 6 hours and 32 minutes each day using this media. Extensive research evidence indicates   that media violence can contribute to aggressive behavior, desensitization to violence, nightmares, and fear of being harmed.

    1. It is very true that the media is targeting children with violent and sexual material as well as adults. It is the responsibility of parents to protect and control what their children watch.

  3. I believe that the visual was created for hostile, friendly and neutral audiences. This visual is making a strong statement that children are exposed to violence from a very early age. It is also saying that media violence is directly affecting them by causing aggression.
